Which Velvet Love Blush Balm shade suits my skin tone?
All six shades are made to be worn on any skin tone — what changes is how far you build them. Peach Sorbet is a soft peach, Camelia a soft pink, Peony a muted rose, Café Rose a rosewood, Sour Cherry a cool cherry red, and Tomato a neutral red. Warm undertones sit easily in Peach Sorbet and Café Rose, while cool undertones sit easily in Camelia, Peony and Sour Cherry. Start with one dab and build until the colour reads like your own.
How do I apply the Velvet Love Blush Balm?
Dab the balm onto your cheeks and let your fingertips melt it into the skin. One dab is a soft veil, three build a fuller flush. For a more defined cheek, sweep the 127 Blush & Contour Brush over the balm and blend upwards along the cheekbone. No mirror needed.
How do I tell what a shade will look like on me?
Truest in daylight — and worn. The balm melts into your own skin tone, so it reads slightly differently on everyone. That is why we show every shade worn on different models and skin tones rather than as a swatch alone, and name the tone family next to each shade: soft peach, soft pink, muted rose, rosewood, cool cherry red and neutral red.
Can I wear the Velvet Love Blush Balm over foundation and with powder?
Yes. It blends over foundation and cream products. If you set your skin with powder, apply the balm first and the powder after — powder on top holds the colour in place and extends the wear.
Can I use the Velvet Love Blush Balm on my lips?
Yes. Dab it onto your lips for a monochrome look — cheeks and lips in one shade. Shea Butter and Vitamin E keep the texture comfortable on the lip. For a more defined mouth, line first with a Velvet Love Lip Liner in a close tone.
What finish does the Velvet Love Blush Balm have — satin, glossy or matte?
Satin. Soft and light-reflecting, neither glossy nor matte. It does not fully dry down, so it keeps a light balmy feel and a fresh, skin-like finish rather than setting hard like a powder.
Is the Velvet Love Blush Balm suitable for dry, sensitive, mature or combination skin?
Yes. It was developed with Korean skincare experts, is formulated for every skin type including sensitive skin, and is non-comedogenic. Shea Butter and Vitamin E hydrate as you apply, so the texture melts into dry patches and fine lines instead of sitting on them. On combination or oily skin, set with a light powder.
Is the formula buildable, and what if the colour barely shows?
Yes, it builds. One dab is a veil, three a fuller flush. Warm the balm with your fingertip first — the texture releases more colour once it melts, and layering a second and third dab on the same spot builds depth faster than spreading it wider. If a shade still reads too soft on you, Café Rose, Sour Cherry and Tomato carry more depth in a single dab.
