I never planned to build a beauty brand. There were two reasons I did — and only one of them was makeup.
I’ve always loved it — that part came easy. The other reason was my mother. I wanted her to have something of her own, to be independent.
It started with brushes. The good ones were too expensive for me. The affordable ones fell apart in your hands. So I made my own.
Then came everything after them: developed with makers in Germany, Italy and Korea, finishes chosen one at a time, shades edited until they were right, not until there were simply enough. Made with care and love, not with a focus group.
What I didn’t plan for was you. Women wearing it their way — nothing like mine, and better for it. Passing it to a daughter, a friend, a stranger having a good day. That was never the strategy. It’s the part I’m proudest of.

Really love this pencil. It's a great eyeliner but also a great eye shadow too. It goes on sooooo smoothly and blends like a dream.
